After I start a project will there be any hidden costs?
Each project we develop is a full service solution that includes design, development, hosting, and email. We also provide domain name registration, stock photography, and copywriting among other web-related services. All fees and charges are made known prior to you contracting with us, so there are no surprises.
How long does it take to produce a site?
There is no single answer to this question as it depends hugely on the complexity of the site and the speed at which you produce the deliverables at your end. However, our average project probably lasts about one month.
Will we need a maintenance contract with you?
If you choose to use a content management system you will not need a maintenance contract with us since you will be able to update the site on your own, keep in mind these types of sites are limited on the design aspect due to the software implementation for adding and removing pages dynamically. Most clients have chosen not to implement a content management system for a more custom designed look for their site without limitations on the design. Others simply do not have the time to work on their site. Whatever their reason we have been able to come up with a maintenance contract that suited them.
How will I be involved in the project?
You are integral to the success of your project. Beginning with the consultation and continuing onto project launch, you will collaborate with us at every stage of development. You will have access to your own member area within our site that is password-protected and includes all of your current project files. All files will be available for viewing and downloading for the lifetime of your business with us. You will also sign off on every deliverable, to ensure your ongoing satisfaction. We don't move forward until we are on exactly the same page.
How does KDS FX Design communicate efficiently with clients no matter where they're located?
We've developed a process that relies extensively on the use of e-mail, fax and phone calls for most of our client communication, but we also provide each client with a password-protected project website that allows them to view all project-related documentation and design work in real time.
How does your logo design process work?
Once KDS FX Design has all the required information, multiple sketches are created of your logo. The sketches are then made into options for customer review. Once a sketch is selected, it is fine-tuned into 3 full size logos. Different color options and text layouts are added for further review. Once a final logo is decided upon, it is cleaned up and presented for final review. At this point, it is ready to be placed on letterhead, websites, or any promotional material you have available. Our logo design service is very flexible. If you'd like to see only a few concepts or if you need many, our services can be priced according to your needs.
Who owns the copyright for work KDS FX Design has done?
Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment. We do, however, reserve the right to use any work for self-promotional purposes.
How will I receive my design project once it is finished?
A finished project will be sent to you upon receipt of final payment. KDS FX Design will supply the electronic files to you on CD or through e-mail. We also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy.
